Kathmandu, May 3: The death toll in the April 25 Gorkha quake has reached 7,056 as of this afternoon. The number of injured stands at 14,123, according to the Home Ministry.
During the period so far, a total of 10,488 government buildings were fully damaged while 14,215 of them have suffered partial damage.
Likewise, 142,388 private homes have been fully destroyed with partial damage suffered by 155,884 houses owned by private individuals.
The largest fatalities have been recorded in Sindhupalchowk district with 2,684 dead while 1,185 were killed in the quake in Kathmandu. RSS
