Kathmandu, May 3: Eight days have passed since the destructive earthquake rattled the country that has claimed more than 7,000 lives and injured more than 14,000 people.

With the casualty going up, it is everyone's growing concern- whether there was any chance of rescuing alive the people trapped in the debris.

Those involved in the search and rescue operation say that there may be some chance of rescuing alive the people at least for ten days of the tragedy, the relative and the family members of the missing ones are despair enough of finding their kin alive.

As hundreds of people have gone missing even in the capital city, rescue operation is on here.

The security forces had rescued Krishna Kumar Khada in 128 hours of tragedy while Pemba Lama in 120 hours in the Kathmandu Valley.

Spokesperson of the Nepal Army, Jagdish Chandra Pokhrel said, "Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police persons and general public involved in the rescue operations still have hope that they would find some people alive in the debris. So, NA has not been that fully hopeless. Once we get information, we're ready to rescue."

Similarly, Inspector General of the Armed Police Force, Koshraj Onta said, "As the rescue operation was still continuous in different parts of the country, some may be rescued alive, though with slim chance. The APF is mobilized immediately after it gets information of the possibility of finding any alive." RSS
